Description The full-time starting salary is normally £42,860 per annum with progression available in post to £46,586 per annum. Grade: UL Permanent Full Time We have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Education Lecturer to join our team. Our courses reflect our dedication to partnership working and training the next generation of primary teachers. As a Lecturer, you will need to be highly motivated, well-organized, and passionate about delivering exceptional, research-informed teaching. You should have relevant subject knowledge in Primary Education, demonstrated through qualifications and prior teaching experience covering both EYFS and the Primary National Curriculum. You will have energy and passion for primary education and its associated pedagogies, demonstrated through your developing research interests and network connections. You will develop and apply inspiring teaching techniques that foster enthusiasm, understanding, and critical enquiry among undergraduate and postgraduate trainee teachers. The role includes working on Initial Teacher Education (ITE) courses, postgraduate routes, and providing professional development. You must work closely with mentors in partner schools to establish and maintain links that ensure strong theory-to-practice connections. Providing pastoral support and enabling students to thrive and become independent professionals who are proud to be part of Birmingham City University is essential. You will be supported to develop research, enterprise, and scholarly activities, which are integral to the post. Applicants must hold a first degree and have QTS.
