We are seeking a Senior Lecturer to support delivery of high‑quality services across the University. You will work with partner schools to ensure training is effective and aligned with University priorities, developing teaching techniques that foster enthusiasm, understanding and critical enquiry among undergraduate and postgraduate trainee teachers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead ITE courses and postgraduate routes, providing professional development.
  • Work closely with colleagues in partner schools to establish and maintain strong theory‑to‑practice connections.
  • Provide pastoral support and enable students to thrive and become independent professionals.
  • Support development of research, enterprise and scholarly activities.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and share good practice across the team.
  • Take part in Open Days, Get‑into‑Teaching events and other key activities.

Essential Requirements

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a first degree.
  • Experience teaching in primary schools and mentoring or Initial Teacher Education desirable.
  • Organised, enthusiastic, and committed to teacher development.
  • Experience of teaching both EYFS and the Primary National Curriculum – the role requires prior teaching experience covering both.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
