About SuperTech

Created circa 4 years ago, SuperTech operates as the independent cluster body for technology disrupting the professional and financial services sector in Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. These sectors, such as fintech, insurtech, proptech, lawtech and associated services technologies, are referred to as ‘proftech’. SuperTech supports the economic growth of proftech in the UK, championing the sectors and showcasing market‑leading firms to attract top companies and talent. We work with partners and stakeholders to address industry challenges and to make the West Midlands the best place for a proftech business. Marcomms is a critical function in achieving this goal.

  • Create, curate and commission high‑quality, on‑brand content across formats including copy, photography, video, audio and infographics, with clear calls to action.
  • Use data and insight to evaluate content effectiveness and continuously improve activity in line with the SuperTech strategic comms plan.
  • Support partnership activity and provide advice and guidance across the SuperTech team on content‑led marketing, including social media and web content.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience of planning and delivering content and campaigns.
  • Skills in producing clear, engaging and persuasive messaging.
  • Experience in content production using templates and online tools e.g. Canva.
  • Experience in developing and managing website content e.g. Squarespace.
  • Experience in business‑to‑business marketing.
  • Skills in managing multiple priorities and delivering to deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience of using insight and feedback to improve content communication effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of inclusive communication practice and accessibility standards.
  • Experience of evaluating content effectiveness using digital tools and analytics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working with a range of stakeholders across an organisation.
  • Excellent attention to detail with ability to maintain a high level of accuracy whilst working at pace.
  • Familiarity with campaign planning tools or project management approaches and/or experience of managing mailing lists, marcomms data and asset libraries.

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant qualification, or equivalent professional experience, in marketing, digital communications or journalism.
  • Experience developing and delivering B2B campaigns in, or with, professional or financial services firms.
  • Knowledge of legal issues e.g. data protection, CMA guidance and copyright.
  • Confidence using Copilot or other AI‑powered marketing and communications tools.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing personal data through effective use of newsletter platforms/CRM systems.
