About the Role

We are looking for an organised and customer-focused Global Engagement and Admissions Advisor to join the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Global Engagement Team. In this role, you will deliver an efficient admissions service for international applicants, supporting the recruitment of talented students from around the world in line with the Conservatoire's Global Engagement Strategy and the University's International Strategy. You will process applications, communicate with applicants and colleagues, maintain accurate records, support recruitment events, and provide guidance throughout the enquiry, application and admissions journey. You will also provide general administrative support to the Global Engagement Team.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the international admissions cycle, ensuring applications are processed accurately and in line with University policies and procedures.
• Respond promptly to enquiries by email, telephone and post, providing excellent customer service.
• Advise applicants and colleagues on overseas qualifications, application and audition processes, course information, fees, English language requirements, visa and immigration matters, and admissions procedures.
• Assess applications, coordinate auditions and interviews, make standard offers, process decisions through SITS and communicate outcomes.
• Maintain accurate applicant records and ensure compliance with UKVI requirements.
• Support offer holders through to the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) stage.
• Monitor application progress, following up outstanding information with applicants and academic colleagues.
• Assess applicants' fee status and maintain up-to-date knowledge of admissions regulations, UKVI requirements and University systems.
• Support recruitment events and contribute fully as a member of the Global Engagement Team.

You will have:

• A degree or equivalent qualification with excellent literacy, numeracy and Microsoft Office skills.
• Experience delivering a high-quality customer service in a music, theatre or higher education environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and applicants from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Experience of higher education admissions and using SITS or a similar student records system.
• Knowledge or experience of UKVI compliance requirements.
