To provide expert curriculum development services, supporting the enhancement and diversification of curriculum in line with the university's Education Strategy. The postholder will deliver curriculum enhancements, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities such as STEAM, decolonisation, employability, and sustainability. Working within a quality assurance and enhancement framework, they will integrate these strategic priorities into the curriculum and support the academic community in maintaining high standards of curriculum quality and assessment practices.
Main activities and responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and guidance on curriculum development, ensuring alignment with the university's Education Strategy and institutional priorities.
- Lead curriculum enhancement projects, ensuring integration of key strategic priorities such as STEAM, decolonisation, employability, and sustainability.
- Work with academic schools and departments to develop and implement curriculum improvements, promoting innovative and inclusive pedagogical approaches.
- Support the design and diversification of assessment methods, ensuring alignment with best practice and the Education Strategy.
- Ensure the integration of quality assurance and enhancement processes into curriculum development and delivery.
- Develop and deliver training and workshops for academic staff on curriculum development, assessment diversification, and quality enhancement.
- Collaborate with other functions within Quality Assurance & Enhancement to monitor and evaluate curriculum quality across the institution.
- Provide expert support in the review and redesign of curricula, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Advise on curriculum-related policy and strategy, contributing to the development of institutional educational frameworks and guidelines.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of sector developments and emerging trends in curriculum design, teaching, and assessment.
