Apprenticeship Quality Compliance Officer

Full‑time, permanent position. Grade: D. Salary: £32,006.00 per annum, progression to £35,331.00.

BCU is seeking an Apprenticeship Quality Compliance Officer to join our Directorate of Student and Academic Services (SAAS). In this role you will support apprenticeship quality compliance activities, coordinate the SER, QIP, monitor individual action plans, and assist with readiness for an Ofsted inspection. You will work closely with the apprenticeship support manager, compliance team, quality team, operational teams and Academic Leads for Partnerships and Apprenticeships, and other stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

• Coordinate the SER, QIP, and monitor individual action plans for apprenticeship compliance.
• Support planning and monitoring of inspection readiness to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with writing and reviewing the self‑assessment report, ensuring accurate data and timely updates.
• Keep up to date with inspection requirements and key judgement areas.
• Help prepare documentation and evidence for Ofsted inspections.
• Respond to quality compliance enquiries from staff, employers, and external partners.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Experience or knowledge of apprenticeship compliance or quality assurance processes.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Good communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders and producing clear guidance documentation.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Experience in monitoring and reporting compliance or performance data.
