With significant investment across our football, commercial, and community operations, we are rebuilding the Club for long-term success — on and off the pitch.

About the Department

Our Maintenance team is responsible for the daily operation, upkeep and presentation of our stadium and surrounding facilities, ensuring that supporters, players, hospitality guests and staff experience a safe, professional and high-quality environment at every visit. The team plays a critical role in both matchday and non-matchday operations and works collaboratively across the Club to deliver exceptional standards.

About the Role

As Stadium Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out all plumbing-related planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the stadium footprint, including our 28,500-seat stadium, retail areas and fan zones. Working as part of the wider multi-skilled maintenance team, you will support the day-to-day upkeep of the stadium and wider facilities, while also assisting with matchday preparation and operational activities. This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Service, repair and maintain plumbing and heating systems across Club sites.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive repairs and breakdowns.
  • Fault finding, analysis and repair of plumbing systems and associated equipment.
  • Installation, upgrade and alteration work as required.
  • Support maintenance activities across commercial kitchens, washrooms and drainage systems.
  • Maintain and repair heating systems including radiators and associated equipment.
  • Support with general maintenance tasks including painting, basic carpentry and repairs to fixtures and fittings.
  • Assist with stadium preparation before home fixtures and events.
  • Attend and support all home matches and Club events.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and technical expertise.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety procedures.

About the Person

We are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and adaptable, with a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills. You will be comfortable working independently while also contributing positively within a team environment.

Essential requirements:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Plumbing or Mechanical Services.
  • Previous experience in plumbing and general maintenance environments.
  • Knowledge of building services and maintenance activities.
  • DIY and general maintenance skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
