Job Description

Academy Kit and Equipment Assistant

Location: Knighthead Performance Centre, Birmingham
Department: Kit and Equipment
Reports to: Academy Kit and Equipment Lead
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible hours to suit business needs)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for an Academy Kit and Equipment Assistant to join our team and assist with providing kit for the Academy (U7-U21), including players and staff. This role will involve supporting the Academy Kit and Equipment Lead in ensuring the smooth running of kit-related duties and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring all Academy kit is appropriately accommodated
  • Support the distribution of kit for training and fixtures across all Academy age groups, including Pre-Academy and Talent Centres
  • Assist with kit stock management and regular stock level checks
  • Ensure that all kit is laundered daily and available for training and matches
  • Work in the laundry room, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away kit
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment in the laundry room and equipment storage areas
  • Assist with the organisation of kit for new staff, players, and triallists throughout the season
  • Provide support at PDP fixtures when required
  • Assist the First Team Kit and Equipment Manager with duties as needed

What We Are Looking For

  • Essential: Proven laundry skills, high attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Desirable: Experience working in a Football Academy, knowledge of kit and equipment operations, proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Personal: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, trustworthy, enthusiastic, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
