Birmingham City Women’s Football Club is looking for a dedicated and dynamic U16’s Sports Therapist to join our medical department. This is a pivotal role supporting our youth development programme, focused on delivering elite-level injury prevention, rehabilitation, and pitch-side medical care for our U16 players.

You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with coaching, sports science, operations, and physical performance colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success and wellbeing of our future stars.

Please not this role does require weekend and evening working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide pitch-side first aid and emergency care at all U16 matches and training sessions.
  • Deliver and oversee injury prevention, rehabilitation, and treatment plans for players.
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and create evidence-based rehabilitation programmes.
  • Collaborate with coaches and support staff to monitor and update on player availability and treatment.
  • Support mental health signposting and contribute to mental health pathway development.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential medical records in line with clinical governance standards.
  • Assist other age groups (10–14s and U21s) when required.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and safeguarding.
  • Participate in audits and continuous professional development (CPD) activities.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • BSc (Hons) in Sports Therapy or equivalent
  • Membership of BASRaT and/or Society of Sports Therapists
  • Valid Medical Indemnity for working with WSL & WC players
  • In-date ITMMiF Qualification
  • Experience working with female athletes
