About the Role
A multiskilled creative role to capture, edit, and produce high-quality video content that highlights the activities, achievements, and daily life at the Club’s Academy to showcase its programs, facilities, success stories and culture. Produce content that reflects the dynamic and exciting environment of the Academy and engages various stakeholders, including players, parents, coaches, and the broader community to build the Academy brand and wider interest. This includes match footage, training sessions, interviews, promotional content, and special events.
- Video production
- Capture high-quality video footage of matches, training sessions, interviews, Academy events and behind-the-scenes insights.
- Edit raw footage into products suitable for club platforms (social media, website, internal use, etc.).
- Develop creative concepts and storyboards for video content that showcases the Academy brand, its programs and success stories.
- Ensure high-quality sound in all video content, adjusting audio levels and using music to enhance the production.
- Apply club branded graphics, animations, and special effects to enhance video quality and viewer engagement.
- Use the academy’s logo, colours, and fonts across all content to build a recognisable brand.
- Bring new ideas and creative approaches to video content to enhance the Academy’s brand, media and fan interest.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in video production to keep content fresh and engaging.
- Organise and archive all video footage for easy retrieval and future use.
- Upload and manage video content on various platforms (YouTube, social media, website).
- Work closely with the media team, coaches, and players to capture the essence of the academy’s culture and activities.
- Seek and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve video quality and relevance.
About you
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in film production, Media Studies, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a videographer, preferably in sports or a similar field.
- Experience working with football or sports teams is highly desirable.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of video production skills and creativity.
- Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro), and familiarity with graphic design and animation tools.
- Extensive knowledge of professional video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Creativity: Ability to develop creative concepts and bring them to life through video.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time Management: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Team Player: Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Personal Requirements
Looking for a candidate with a blend of video production technical skills, creativity and a passion for football/youth football and storytelling; who holds themselves to high standards and finesse with a desire to continually learn and push themselves and video production and output forward. A desire and ability to be creative and push innovative concepts through to production, focusing on lifestyle features and non-core football content in addition to training, match and player/manager interviews.
