Academy Operations and Administration Co-ordinator
Birmingham City Football Club is proud to nurture and develop young talent through our Academy programme. We are seeking a highly organised and motivated Academy Operations and Administration Coordinator to join our team at the Knighthead Performance Centre. This role is central to ensuring the smooth running of our Academy by providing outstanding operational and administrative support across all age groups.
Please note this role is a FTC role for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Academy administration and operations to ensure efficiency and compliance with Club, FA, Premier League, EFL, and UEFA regulations.
- Support financial processes, including staff expenses, payments to suppliers, and purchase of Academy equipment.
- Assist with fixture coordination for U8–U21 programmes, including match officials, medical cover, facilities, and opposition correspondence.
- Provide matchday coordination for Academy fixtures and attend training sessions as required.
- Manage Academy player and staff records, databases, registrations, and communication tools (SharePoint & Football Intelligence Platform).
- Support the organisation of Academy player reviews, induction evenings, trips, tours, and events such as the Academy Awards.
- Act as the Super User for Academy digital platforms, ensuring information is shared accurately and effectively.
- Liaise with scouts, coordinate requests, and maintain the Academy Referee and Scout Databases.
- Provide administrative support across Academy departments as directed by the Academy Secretary.
- Promote and safeguard the welfare of all Academy players, liaising with the club Safeguarding Team when necessary.

- Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within elite sport or football academies.
- Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
