This is a key commercial role responsible for managing a portfolio of high‐value digital, data and technology contracts and building strong, effective relationships with suppliers to ensure value for money and excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and overseeing a portfolio of digital, data and technology contracts and suppliers
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships and strategic partnerships
  • Monitoring contract performance to ensure compliance, quality, value for money and cost control
  • Leading on contract variations, statements of work and contractual documentation, ensuring risks are mitigated
  • Providing professional commercial and contract management advice to senior stakeholders across the Council
  • Managing contract changes, renewals and lifecycle activity in line with strategic and operational priorities
  • Leading and resolving contractual and commercial disputes while maintaining effective working relationships
About You
  • Significant experience in contract and commercial management, ideally within the public sector
  • Strong knowledge of digital, IT, data or technology contracts and supplier management
  • Proven ability to manage complex contracts, budgets and supplier relationships
  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Confident producing high‐quality reports and advising senior managers
  • Analytical, commercial and comfortable working in a fast‐paced, evolving environment
  • Experience using contract and performance management systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Oracle or similar)
  • Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience (e.g. CIPS, MCIPS, IACCM, CIMA desirable)
