We are looking for people who are flexible, adaptable and have a can-do attitude, working well under pressure and wishing to make a difference for our citizens.
Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day visits, including taking views with customers and handling moving-out visits dealing with electric and gas meter issues with preferred energy providers.
- Prepare letting documents, create Tenancy Support service plans and upload proofs.
- Update computer-based systems daily in a timely manner.
- Deal with emails and customer queries, taking ownership of work end to end and achieving positive outcomes.
- Provide day-to-day support within the Void Service to enhance performance and turnaround times.
- Work in partnership and collaboratively to reach the end goal for tenants.
- Work across all BCC teams, departments and agencies.
Qualifications and Experience
- A track record of delivering high-quality, customer-focused service to residents moving into a BCC property.
- An ability to support the voids service through change, meeting business objectives and priorities, with a service redesign underway.
- An excellent understanding of BCC policies and procedures in relation to voids/lettings integrated service.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A focus on performance.
- Effective time management, juggling conflicting priorities and enquiries with ease.
- Problem-solving skills, resolving issues swiftly and efficiently.
- Resilience and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure; the role is KPI and performance-driven to let void properties quickly to reduce or avoid void and rent loss.
- Coverage for emergencies, sickness and annual leave as required, with the possibility of working city-wide and providing wrap-around support where requested.
- Experience with lone working and ensuring systems are checked in line with BCC health and safety policy.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
