Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Specialist Occupational Therapy assessments for citizens with complex physical, mental health and learning disability needs.
- Review packages of care to ensure the least restrictive approach.
- Build effective multi-disciplinary relationships.
- Support the delivery of Continued Healthcare.
- Lead projects and support the wider team.
Qualifications
- HCPC Occupational Therapist Registration.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist in a relevant area.
- Knowledge of equal opportunity and diversity issues.
- Experience working with citizens with complex needs.
- Excellent report writing and understanding of assessment processes and outcomes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and to the development of the Occupational Therapy service.
- Readiness to work flexibly across different projects and across the city.
- Excellent work ethic and ability to work continually at a fast pace.
- Ability to engage in difficult and sensitive conversations with citizens and their representatives.
