Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Leave until Dec 2026

Grade D: £45,091 – £53,460 per annum. Golden Hello payment: £1,000 + £5,000 per annum.

Working 36.5 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Specialist Occupational Therapy assessments for citizens with complex physical, mental health and learning disability needs.
  • Review packages of care to ensure the least restrictive approach.
  • Build effective multi-disciplinary relationships.
  • Support the delivery of Continued Healthcare.
  • Lead projects and support the wider team.

Qualifications

  • HCPC Occupational Therapist Registration.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a qualified Occupational Therapist in a relevant area.
  • Knowledge of equal opportunity and diversity issues.
  • Experience working with citizens with complex needs.
  • Excellent report writing and understanding of assessment processes and outcomes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development and to the development of the Occupational Therapy service.
  • Readiness to work flexibly across different projects and across the city.
  • Excellent work ethic and ability to work continually at a fast pace.
  • Ability to engage in difficult and sensitive conversations with citizens and their representatives.
  • Team worker with initiative and autonomy.
