b Overview /b p Senior leader in the Council’s Community Safety service, responsible for delivering frontline safety services citywide. You will coordinate internal delivery and multi-agency operations, focusing on reducing anti-social behaviour and crime while evidencing outcomes. The role drives performance, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement, collaborating with police, housing providers and other partners to keep communities safe. You will translate strategic priorities into practical, high-impact interventions and safeguarding responses. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li West Midlands Pension Fund membership /li li Enhanced Holiday Entitlement – 30 days (increasing with service) /li li My Rewards Scheme – 800+ brands /li li Health and wellbeing support – employee assistance and counselling /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Provide clear, visible leadership across internal teams with consistent standards and high-quality service /li li Oversee anti-social behaviour and crime response to ensure reliable service delivery /li li Lead operational approach to ASB, collaborating with Housing services /li li Guide community safety activities related to supported exempt accommodation /li li Ensure effective use of legislation, especially Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 /li li Drive intelligence-led interventions (hotspot patrols, street teams) /li li Build and maintain partnerships with police, housing providers, and stakeholders /li li Lead performance management, risk, and quality assurance across services /li li Oversee defensible case management frameworks and safeguarding responses /li li Lead, develop, and support a team of managers and staff, with recruitment and performance management /li li Ensure compliance with financial, governance, safeguarding and statutory requirements /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Significant experience in community safety, ASB, enforcement, or crime reduction services /li li Strong leadership with track record of managing teams and delivering improvements /li li Experience delivering crime and harm-reduction initiatives /li li Collaborative work with public sector, partners and stakeholders /li li Ability to manage high-risk and sensitive operational issues /li li Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and problem-solving skills /li li Data-driven approach to performance management and decision-making /li li Knowledge of community safety landscape and relevant legislation (ASBCP Act 2014; Crime and Disorder Act 1998) /li /ul ul li leadership /li li communication /li li influencing /li li data-driven performance management /li li intelligence-led delivery /li li risk management /li /ul
