Planning Policy Manager

As Planning Policy Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and implementing the Birmingham Local Plan and other statutory planning documents. You will be responsible for leading the strategic planning team, you will work in partnership with both the public and private sector, securing stakeholder engagement in project development and delivery and assisting the Planning Management Service contributing to the planning application and appeals process.

You will need to have extensive experience in the field of strategic planning with the ability to manage a diverse and challenging workload, be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and organisations and demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development. You should have a postgraduate or degree qualification in Town Planning or equivalent and have chartered membership of RTPI.
