Fixed Term contract for external applications, secondment for internal applications - Until 31/03/2026. Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review. Working 36.5 hours per week.

Join the Customer Experience Programme – Secondment Opportunities Available. Are you passionate about transforming services and putting customers at the heart of everything we do? The Customer Experience Programme is offering exciting secondment opportunities for colleagues who want to be part of a dynamic team driving change across Birmingham City Council.

This programme is central to our ambition to deliver excellent customer service for everyone in Birmingham. We are redesigning services, consolidating support functions, improving customer experience, driving channel shift, efficient customer contact through several access channels and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. Whether it’s through smarter use of data, more joined-up services, or human-centred design, we are committed to making every interaction with the council efficient, consistent, and customer-focused.

This role is being offered on secondment basis until March 2026, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact work while developing your skills and experience. Please note that extensions to these secondments are subject to future Improvement Recovery Plan (IRP) funding.
