We are a Living Wage Employer, and all our roles will be paid as such where the pay scales are below the Living Wage rate.

About The Role
As a Library Services Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that every customer feels welcome and supported. From answering enquiries and assisting with ICT to helping coordinate events and exhibitions, you’ll play a key role in making the library a vibrant and accessible space for all.
Responsibilities
- Providing friendly, professional support to customers in person, by phone, and online
- Assisting with ICT queries and promoting library services and events
- Managing stock flow and handling payments for services
- Supporting crowd and queue management, including emergency procedures
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive environment in line with Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety policies

- Has experience delivering front-line customer service in a public setting
- Can confidently manage behaviour and ensure a positive environment
- Is comfortable working with ICT systems and assisting customers with technology
