This is an exciting opportunity to join our team delivering a Mobile Library Service throughout Birmingham. The post involves working on mobile library vehicles (to provide library services to local residents) and at the Base unit undertaking library duties including checking, shelving and replacing items; issuing and discharging items for customers; taking part in events and activities.
You will have a passion for books and a desire to deliver a library service to children and adults from a variety of backgrounds across the city. Experience of working with a wide range of people is required, along with the ability to work as part of a small team, have excellent levels of communication and be able to use IT. You will need to be flexible and able to cope with change and have the ability to participate in promotional activities with groups of children and adults.
Providing library services to customers across Birmingham on a timetabled service involves working on mobile library vehicles and at the Base unit undertaking library duties e.g. checking, shelving and replacing items; issuing and discharging items for customers; taking part in events and activities. Weekend working is required.
