Overview
Home Bridging Team Teacher (2 posts) - Permanent - 32.5 hours per week - UPS3 with SEND Allowance. Birmingham City Council is seeking outstanding and experienced teachers to join the Home Bridging Team from January 2026.
Responsibilities
- Provide interim, home-based education to children with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who are currently without a formal education placement.
- Support smooth transitions by working with children, families, and receiving schools to secure appropriate placements.
- Collaborate with relevant agencies to ensure children and families are supported with information sharing.
- Deliver tailored education through a hybrid model including remote work, office attendance, and home visits.
Qualifications and requirements
- Qualified teacher with experience in education for children with EHCPs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and partner agencies.
- Eligible to work in the UK; DBS check required; Proof of Right to work in the UK required.
