Are you highly organised, adaptable, and ready to make a real impact in one of Birmingham City Council’s busiest directorates? We are looking for a motivated Business Support Officer to join the Place, Prosperity and Sustainability (PPS) Business Support Team.

About This Role

As a key member of our Business Support service, you will play an essential role in helping the directorate run smoothly and efficiently. This varied and rewarding role supports a wide range of activities, including:

  • Financial administration
  • Planning application administration
  • General business support to teams across PPS Directorate

You will be the first point of contact for enquiries received from internal colleagues and external customers, ensuring all requests are handled accurately, professionally and on time as per internal timeframes. Working closely with colleagues across the directorate, you will make full use of digital systems to carry out daily tasks, keep information up to date and maintain clear, effective communication across the team.

This is a part‑time hybrid role, working 29.2 hours per week, with a mix of working from home and office at the Council House, Birmingham.
