This position is to support the Senior Building Manager in driving the Council\’s success in meeting its statutory building safety obligations as a responsibly landlord whilst continuously striving to improve the safety of its residents, properties, compliance, and stock condition.
As a member of a professional team your role will be pivotal in providing senior management with assurance that building, fire, and statutory compliance requirements within its residential stock is being effectively managed.
You will be directed and supported by a Building Safety Manager to ensure and assure robust monitoring across our residential stock through site-based inspections and checks.These programmes and plans will be based on accurate stock data and information, with key building information maintained to inform safety case information for all parties.
This position plays a crucial role in assuring our residential stock is safe and compliant with related regulatory requirements achieved via positive engagement with stakeholders, site-based inspections, and post work checks that you will be required to undertake. This will ensure an acceptable level of demonstrable compliance is being both achieved and maintained, through quality data and evidence to support all related activities.
Your role will be to assist the Council to remain at the forefront of industry standards by delivering a high-quality asset management service and contributing to a culture of trust, by creating a working environment that is supportive and high performing.
