Responsibilities
- Consider Mental Health Act 1983 referrals, coordinate and undertake statutory Mental Health Act assessments, provide specialist advice to Adult Social Care, and support the development of trainee AMHPs in practice and university settings as required.
- Providing supervision, coaching and professional guidance to staff and students.
- Supporting practitioners to deliver statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act 1983.
- Leading safeguarding practice and promoting positive outcomes for adults and carers.
- Supporting service improvement initiatives and contributing to performance management and quality assurance activities.
- Working collaboratively with partner organisations to ensure a joined-up approach to care and support.
This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham, and you will be required to attend officer and the public, so you must have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for an experienced professional who:
- Social Work qualification
- AMHP warrant and authorisation
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge of adult social care legislation and professional practice.
- Has experience of safeguarding adults and managing complex casework.
