We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Service Manager to lead and motivate a high impact team in the Private Rented Service (PRS) at Birmingham City Council. You will play a key role in ensuring the effective delivery of services that support vulnerable residents, working within statutory frameworks and contributing to the development of city wide housing strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams, embedding a high performance, customer focused culture
- Drive procurement and effective use of PRS accommodation to meet demand
- Deliver services in line with Housing Act 1996 (Part VII) and relevant legislation
- Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring value for money and service sustainability
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with landlords, agencies, and stakeholders to enhance PRS supply and service delivery
- Contribute to city wide housing policies, strategies and service improvements
Qualifications
- Extensive experience working within the Private Rented Service
- Proven people management skills, with the ability to develop and inspire teams
- In-depth knowledge of housing legislation and PRS frameworks
- Experience delivering service improvement in complex environments
- Ability to build effective partnerships with landlords and stakeholders
