An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Social Worker Practice Educator to join the Ladywood Assessment Social Work Team, working with adults over the age of 18. We are looking for an organised and dependable team player who has a positive and flexible approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with being enthusiastic and self-motivated.

This social worker post within Birmingham City Council involves a lead role in improving the quality of professional social work practice and managing complex casework. These roles often involve providing technical expertise, coaching, and mentoring to other social workers, as well as ensuring adherence to legislation, standards, and departmental policies.

The purpose of the role for the successful applicant will be:

  • To ensure the effective management, operation and development of Adult’s Social Care to achieve the City Council’s objectives and statutory duties and responsibilities, and to improve positive outcomes for Adults in Birmingham.
  • To participate in the identification and systematic review of service needs and the planning and delivery of appropriate adult care services, exploring innovative and radical approaches to service delivery - whether provided directly by Adults Social Care or commissioned and delivered by external partners/providers.

Practice Educator Training desirable if not willing to undertake this qualification.
