Location: School Management Office, City of Birmingham

City of Birmingham School is seeking a highly skilled and motivated School HR Manager to join our small, supportive and dedicated School Management Office team.

About The Role

The HR Manager will oversee and manage comprehensive HR operations across the school, including recruitment, staff records, payroll queries, absence management, induction, performance management documentation and statutory returns. The role also ensures compliance with statutory requirements including the Single Central Record, DBS administration, HR policies, safeguarding requirements and School Workforce Census obligations. Additional responsibilities include providing advice to managers and staff on HR policies, supporting workforce planning, staff training, development programmes and appraisal processes, and liaising with external agencies including Payroll, HR providers, the Local Authority and Trade Unions. The role includes line management responsibilities.
