What You’ll Do:
- Use a diverse range of project management skills to design and implement highway improvements.
- Prepare and manage Traffic Regulation Orders, traffic calming measures, and pedestrian schemes.
- Design signage and schemes associated with Section 278 Agreements.
- Utilise design software such as AutoCAD, Key Lines, and Key Signs for project delivery.
- Analyse road traffic collision data using relevant databases to identify trends.
- Develop and implement safety improvement schemes across the city based on collision analysis.
- This role will provide service and programme assurance, ensuring controls are in place to mark progress, manage budgets, implementation of equality obligations, manage risks and ensure services are delivered in line with Highways policies and design specifications.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in general civil engineering, traffic management and transportation engineering, or an equivalent standard.
- Ability to design and implement highway improvement schemes in an urban environment using CAD.
- Experience managing projects in a highway‑related discipline, including supervision and administration of contractor activities.
- A full UK driving licence.
