Birmingham Adult Education Service (BAES) is seeking an experienced and creative Marketing & Communications Officer to lead the delivery and development of our communications activity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of multi‑channel marketing and communication campaigns.
  • Develop clear, audience‑focused messaging that supports strategic objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and challenge to colleagues on effective communication approaches.
  • Create and develop content across digital platforms, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Use insight, data, and evaluation to continuously improve performance and reach.
  • Demonstrate strong writing and storytelling skills, shaping narratives for a wide range of audiences.
  • Have proven experience delivering integrated communications across digital and offline channels.
  • Be confident working with and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders.
  • Show strong planning and organisational skills, managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Take an analytical, insight‑led approach to improving engagement and campaign performance.
  • Bring creativity, curiosity, and a drive to innovate.
