Join us as a HR Investigation Officer and take ownership of a varied and complex caseload that directly shapes fairness, trust and accountability across the organisation.

You’ll lead investigations into disciplinary matters, grievances, bullying and harassment—ensuring every case is handled with professionalism, impartiality and full compliance with employment law and organisational policy.

This is a role for someone who thrives on analytical thinking, structured casework and delivering high-quality outcomes that stand up to scrutiny.

You will manage each investigation from start to finish: planning lines of enquiry, gathering and evaluating evidence, conducting interviews, and producing clear, robust and evidence-based reports.

Working closely with the HR Investigations Manager and a wide range of stakeholders, you’ll ensure cases progress efficiently, sensitively and in line with expectations.

Your work will support formal hearings, influence decision-making and contribute to a culture of fairness and transparency.

Please note, having significant experience of chairing investigations and hearings is essential and you must be able to demonstrate this.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading complex ER investigations — independently managing cases involving disciplinary issues, grievances and harassment.
  • Developing structured investigation plans — identifying evidence, witnesses and key lines of enquiry.
  • Conducting impartial interviews — gathering accurate, balanced and reliable information.
  • Producing high‑quality investigation reports — ensuring clarity, factual accuracy and legal robustness.
  • Presenting findings at hearings — supporting panels with clear, confident and objective summaries.
  • Maintaining accurate case records — ensuring confidentiality, organisation and compliance with data protection legislation.
