Are you passionate about transforming parks and green spaces into vibrant community assets? As the UK’s first accredited Nature City, Birmingham is delivering its ambitious City of Nature 25‑Year Plan. We are looking for dynamic Green Space Development Managers to lead the future of Birmingham’s parks and green spaces, helping to create healthier, greener, more resilient communities.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with Friends groups, local organisations, elected members and other stakeholders to identify and deliver local investment priorities.
  • Drive ambitious improvement programmes that enhance biodiversity, increase community participation, and ensure parks meet the highest standards for quality, safety and accessibility.
  • Lead key initiatives including the Green Flag improvement programme, oversee the delivery of infrastructure and site enhancement projects, and secure external investment through partnership working and successful funding bids.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams, community partners and external organisations to deliver meaningful improvements across the city, keeping parks welcoming, sustainable and valued assets for future generations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in park development, project management or a related field.
  • A strong track record of delivering successful projects and partnerships.
  • Genuine passion for green spaces, nature recovery and community engagement.
  • Full UK driving licence.
