A General Assistant role at Springfield Primary, B13 9NY. This is a permanent position, Grade A, with a salary of £24,796 - £27,254, pro rata to the hours worked. The role involves working 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 11.00am to midday, during term time only.
This General Assistant role is part of ‘Cityserve’ - Birmingham City Council's multi-award winning catering service for school meals. Cityserve provides fresh and nutritious food for school kitchens across the UK, with a commitment to healthy eating and the wellbeing of pupils.
The Role
- Assist in the preparation of cooking meals for pupils
- Assist in keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
- Washing up, sweeping and mopping
- Set up dining areas and put out furniture
- Be aware of pupils' needs, dietary and allergen requirements
- Attend training sessions and online sessions where needed
- Work collaboratively with managers and supervisors both in and outside of performance times
