Birmingham City Council is transforming how we deliver services to our customers. Within our HR Shared Services the Data Insight & Analytics team plays a vital role in helping managers make informed evidencebased decisions about their people.

As a Data Insight & Analytics Advisor you’ll be at the heart of this transformation collating validating and analysing HR data to measure performance identify trends and provide highquality insights. Your work will directly support HR OD and Payroll stakeholders ensuring our services are efficient impactful and continually improving.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Validating HR and operational performance data and uploading into Power BI dashboards.
  • Producing scheduled HR reports for key stakeholders by agreed deadlines.
  • Analysing HR data to identify trends and presenting findings in clear accessible formats.
  • Supporting customer meetings by collating and explaining relevant datasets.
  • Reporting against KPIs and other performance metrics.
  • Identifying improvements to enhance dashboards and analytics provision.
  • Testing new dashboard functionality prior to golive.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to streamline data collection and integration.
  • Ensuring compliance with GDPR and safeguarding sensitive information.
  • Deputising for the Data Insight & Analytics Officer when required.
