We are looking for someone who will work flexibly in a team as a Neighbourhood Caretaker. You will oversee the management of both high and low-rise properties within a designated area, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hazard-free environments and full compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Daily patrols of the neighbourhood to improve and maintain kerb appeal and prevent fly tipping.
- Conduct Daily Block Inspections.
- Perform Low Rise Audits.
- Inspect relief rooms.
- Driver training to operate large vehicles (e.g., Tipper).
- Communicate with stakeholders and tenants.
- Cover for absent staff across the Quadrant.
- Supervise estate caretakers, conduct return‑to‑work interviews, identify training needs, set targets, and undertake risk assessments.
- Ensure properties remain hazard‑free and fully compliant with Health & Safety regulations.
- Undertake environmental inspection and improvement works at communal sites, including Fire Risk Assessment duties.
Requirements
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Experience dealing with difficult conversations.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments, performance management and training needs analysis.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning standards, communal and building management, particularly Health & Safety (full training provided).
- Willingness to work flexibly in a team.
