About The Role
As a Lead Practitioner, your key responsibility is to provide support and promote the welfare of children, young people, and their families in the city by creating high quality assessments and plans, providing evidence-based help and support, and leading effective multi-agency working.

- Deliver timely, evidence-based interventions to improve outcomes for children and families.
- To convene, organise and chair case planning and review meetings, including acting as lead professional under a multi-agency Integrated Support Plan where appropriate.
- To complete assessments and reports to recognised / accepted professional standards and timescales.
- Champion specialist areas such as domestic abuse, substance misuse, or parenting, providing advice and workshops.
- Maintain high standards of case recording and reporting in line with professional standards.
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery.
About you
- Experience working with children, young people, and families in a support or safeguarding role and responding to significant harm.
- Parental engagement: Experience of effectively engaging families when there are concerns.
- Ability to manage and co-ordinate a complex workload and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills, with a commitment to involving families in decision-making.
- Experience delivering results within fast-moving and evolving settings.
- Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required.
