Job overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in the form of a band 3 Healthcare Assistant at Dan Mooney House Knowle to work on our friendly all male in-patient complex care unit who experience mental health issues.

We are looking to recruit a personable, flexible and motivated Healthcare Assistant with excellent communication and team working skills to support our qualified staff in the delivery of patient centred care and to improve patient experience.

Main duties of the job

You will initially be based on Dan Mooney House which is located in Knowle Solihull. The Unit is 15 beds with severe and enduring mental health problems and physical health that require a slow stream rehabilitation. Often patients will require help with personal care and with engaging in therapeutic activities.

As a member of the Team you will be required to carry out a range of practical tasks with our patients often on a 1 to 1 basis, under the supervision of qualified staff.

You will deliver clinical care to service users and support the work of the nursing and medical team. You will need to have relevant experience in delivering care in mental health settings and require minimal additional support and training.

Full time post available but please be aware that you will be required to work days, nights, and unsociable hours.
