Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an RMN or RNLD to join our Acute and Urgent Care service as an Inpatient Ward Manager on a male mixed AOT and Acute ward based at Oleaster.

This position requires a motivated, inspirational, innovative and creative leader who can manage the ongoing developments and delivery of care to males in an acute care setting. You will need to possess high quality clinical and managerial skills to ensure the maintenance of the current high standards of effective delivery of patient care. Your managerial skills will enable you to take total management responsibility whilst promoting good working relationships and be responsible for the professional development of the staff you are responsible for within the Multidisciplinary Team.

You will be a Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist with experience of managing and leading teams. Experience of working in an acute or an older adult inpatient setting will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an inpatient ward on a male mixed AOT and Acute ward, ensuring safe and effective care delivery.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, integrity and mutual respect within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Support professional development and supervision of staff; foster teamwork and strong working relationships.
  • Oversee ongoing developments and ensure high standards of care in an acute/inpatient setting for older adults where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist with experience in managing and leading teams.
  • Experience in an acute or older adult inpatient setting is advantageous.
