We have a permanent role for a Contract Manager within the Contract Team of the trust, working on a mixture of income and expenditure contracts and service level agreements.
The post holder will provide a comprehensive support service to the Senior Contract and Finance Team to ensure the Trust\’s contracting function is planned, highly organised, and run efficiently and effectively.
The post holder will also manage and assist in the delivery and reporting of performance reviews, the annual contract negotiation process, including external reporting functions.
You will be expected to support operational teams in developing and shaping services as part of trust-wide transformation projects.
In addition, you will represent and act as an ambassador for the Trust in contractual matters at commissioning meetings and other external forums, developing and maintaining good working relationships with commissioners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of contracts.
- Be responsible for the development and independent negotiation of new and existing patient-related healthcare income contracts.
- Facilitate and undertake contract negotiations between commissioners, provider Trusts, and internal service teams.
- Represent the Contracting Team at meetings to discuss new service developments or income contracts.
- Monitor contract compliance and proactively resolve issues.
- Provide specialist knowledge and training to operational managers, ward staff, and clinicians regarding contract routes.
- Ensure timely signing and agreement of contracts.
- Represent the Trust at Contract Review meetings, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
- Provide administrative support in drafting and completing new projects, ensuring documentation accuracy and circulation.
