Birmingham Airport is seeking a detail-oriented Sustainability Executive to join the Sustainability Team. Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, you will focus on managing and analysing environmental data to support community engagement, aircraft noise monitoring, and the Airport’s broader sustainability initiatives. You’ll work with internal teams, airlines, and local stakeholders to ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and analysis, helping to minimise environmental impact and maintain the Airport’s reputation.

This role involves maintaining the noise and track-keeping systems (ANOMS), investigating complaints, generating reports, supporting environmental monitoring and audits, and contributing to the development of data-driven sustainability projects. You’ll also assist with community reporting, climate adaptation, and the Airport’s ISO 14001-aligned Environmental Management System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and analyse data from noise and track-keeping systems (ANOMS).
  • Investigate aircraft noise complaints and track infringements using data insights.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to support decision-making and community engagement.
  • Support environmental monitoring, audits, and ISO 14001 compliance.
  • Analyse trends and provide recommendations to reduce environmental impact.
  • Contribute to data-driven sustainability projects and reporting, including climate adaptation and air quality.
Experience Required
  • Degree in an environmental discipline or relevant sustainability experience.
  • Experience managing, analysing, and reporting environmental or operational data.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with CRM or database systems desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarise complex data for stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting audits, monitoring, or environmental compliance initiatives.
  • Knowledge of aircraft noise, track-keeping systems, or airport operations desirable (training provided).
