About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and proactive BIM Manager (Building Information Modelling) to lead our organisation’s digital transformation through the effective implementation of BIM strategies. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing our Building Information Models, supporting project delivery teams, and ensuring successful execution and handover of project data.
This is a key leadership role within the organisation, ideal for someone passionate about digital construction and experienced in managing BIM processes for large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver BAL’s BIM strategy and promote digital ways of working.
- Develop, manage, and maintain the organisation’s Building Information Model (BIM).
- Apply BIM standards consistently across business processes and project lifecycles.
- Lead the creation of Information Execution Plans (IEPs) and conduct supply chain capability assessments.
- Provide strategic direction for information management (IM) and digital implementation.
- Maintain quality assurance for BIM deliverables.
- Support team development and raise awareness of BIM across departments.
- Mentor and lead BIM and IM professionals across projects.
- Conduct research and development to enhance BIM workflows and digital tools.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the Development and Capital Programs teams.
- Interface BIM with Building Management Systems (BMS) and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Use visualisation tools to communicate project progress and insights via dashboards.

- Proficiency in tools such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, ACC, and common CDE platforms.
- Skilled in data management and integration tools.
- Experience with project delivery, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Familiarity with visualisation tools and dashboard creation is a plus.
Qualifications
- Degree in BIM, Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Desirable: Knowledge of digital lifecycle stages and a range of digital construction techniques.
