Birley Primary Academy, part of L.E.A.D Academy Trust, are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS Nursery team. This is an exciting opportunity to support children aged 2–4 years in a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment. Working alongside our Early Years team, you will help deliver high-quality learning experiences through play, support children's development, and contribute to their wellbeing and progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support children's learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Work with individuals and small groups to promote learning and independence.
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities and learning experiences.
  • Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
  • Support children's personal, social and emotional development.
  • Observe and record children's progress and share information with teaching staff.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
  • Support children's welfare, including personal care where required.
  • Promote positive behaviour and high expectations for all children.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Holds a relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification.
  • Has experience working with young children in a nursery, preschool or school setting.
  • Has a good understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Is patient, caring and enthusiastic.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
