About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to manage a transition project within our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing the migration of systems, processes, or workflows, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to business operations.

Job Title : Business Analyst – Transition Project

Location : London, UK

Educational Background : A bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Understand Transition Scope: Collaborate with stakeholders to define the full scope of the transition project. Identify and document current challenges and desired outcomes.
  2. Break Down Transition into Sprints: Work with the Product Owner to divide the project into manageable tasks. Ensure each sprint delivers incremental value and allows for review and refinement.
  3. Document Business Requirements: Gather and document detailed business requirements reflecting the future state post-transition. Create user stories and acceptance criteria based on these requirements.
  4. Create and Refine User Stories: Translate complex technical and business requirements into clear, actionable user stories. Ensure tasks are manageable within the sprint framework.
  5. Engage Stakeholders: Maintain ongoing engagement with stakeholders throughout the project. Collect feedback during sprint reviews and align the product backlog with evolving business needs.
  6. Mitigate Risks and Manage Dependencies: Identify potential risks and dependencies early in the project. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and manage dependencies effectively.
  7. Validate Transition in UAT (User Acceptance Testing): Ensure thorough testing of the transition in UAT. Validate that the transition meets business requirements and stakeholder expectations.

Additional Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in transition projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in documenting business requirements and creating user stories.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with financial services and securities knowledge is a plus.
