Part‑Time School Cleaning Operatives – Hertfordshire (Multiple Vacancies)
Location: Hertfordshire – Bishop’s Stortford, Hertford, Berkhamsted, Tring & surrounding areas
Contract: Part‑time | Permanent
We are currently recruiting reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operatives to support a number of School Venues. We have multiple vacancies across several school sites, making this an excellent opportunity for local candidates.
Previous cleaning experience is preferred but full training will be provided.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- Afternoon / early evening shifts
- Typical shifts between 15:15 – 19:00 (vary by site)
- Hours vary by site (approximately 10–20 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the onsite Cleaning Supervisor
- Carry out cleaning duties in line with the site cleaning specification
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across classrooms, corridors, washrooms, and communal areas
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and machinery
- Follow COSHH and all Health & Safety procedures
- Use correct cleaning techniques to ensure consistently high standards

- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking individuals
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible to work across different nearby school sites (where required)
- Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
