The Residential Property team is a team of 60+ members operating out of seven offices but working together as one team. We have a vacancy to fill in the team which will involve acting on routine residential property transactions as well as more complex and high-end matters with a focus on the Norwich marketplace.

The role will suit a candidate with a significant following and marketplace presence to actively and effectively grow the practice, although this is not essential. A minimum of 6 years PQE in a professional legal environment as a Solicitor/Legal Exec/Licensed Conveyancer is required.

  • Contribute to thought leadership and sector-focused marketing initiatives.
  • A proven ability to meet the demands of high value conveyancing including enhanced accessibility.
  • An ability to actively market within this specialist sector and to focus on growing new relationships.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Word, Excel, time recording software, case management, Outlook and digital dictation.
  • Acting for high net worth individuals and a range of clients from individuals to corporate entities on diverse residential property matters.
  • Acting on the purchase, sale and financing of routine and complex freehold/leasehold and high value properties.
  • Working alongside and developing relationships with local agents including high end property finders and estate agents.
  • Providing technical support to local team members including overseeing and training of junior team members as needed.
  • Being actively involved with developing and implementing the Norwich team business development plan.
  • Instilling the Birketts’ culture and brand signatures and values throughout the team.
