The team you will join: Our Business Development and Marketing Team sits within our wider Business Services Division. The team work together in support of the firm’s vision, mission and values. The team are responsible for the firm’s Business Development, PR and Communications, CRM, Campaigns and Events, as well as tender and proposal management. The team support our firm-wide vision to be the standout law firm for client experience, continuing to support delivery of differentiated services and building awareness of the Birketts’ brand to support firm wide growth.

The work you will be doing:

• Create inspiring, well executed marketing collateral.
• Act as a brand guardian and always adhere to brand guidelines.
• Create brochures, flyers, invitations, PowerPoint presentations and templates, Word documents and Word templates, digital assets for social media/website and supporting on other marketing collateral requests.
• Convert documents to digital platforms such as Flipsnack.
• Source promotional goods and look after a pool of corporate merchandise.
• Support the preparation of presentations and other templates, blogs, articles, and brochures.
• Collate, update and support production of firm wide literature for events.
• Keep collateral up to date and be the guardian of version control.
• Support provision of accurate analytical reporting on collateral usage including open rates from digital assets.
• Keep diary of collateral asset requirements and locations.
• Fully support the team in the efficient delivery of business development and marketing campaign activity.
• Build strong working relationships with all teams.
• Undertake other duties to meet the demands of the business.
• Actively contribute to the team with ideas for marketing campaigns and supporting collateral.
• Provide ‘on the ground’ support for events and seminars, across all offices.

What we are looking for: The ideal candidate will have strong desktop publishing skills, particularly using InDesign or similar software, alongside a keen interest in emerging technologies that support marketing collateral, including an understanding of digital collateral platforms. They will be highly IT literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases, and ideally hold a design-specific qualification.

With a proven track record of delivering high-quality design projects, they will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong project management skills, and the ability to proofread and write copy that aligns with brand tone and guidelines. The role requires a self-motivated, proactive team player who can work calmly under pressure, meet strict deadlines, remain flexible with working hours, and confidently collaborate with colleagues.

Hybrid Working: Birketts is a flexible business which has embraced a hybrid working model where our colleagues enjoy a mix of home and office working. This role attracts a split of 60% office days and 40% working from home days per week at our Ipswich, Chelmsford, Norwich and Cambridge Offices. Due to the nature of this role, we would require 1 day a week working from Ipswich.
