Purpose of job
Birketts is recruiting for a forward thinking, proactive, driven and meticulous Events and Sponsorship Manager to lead our Events and Sponsorship Team, on a full time basis.
The role reports into the Business Development and Marketing Director. The Events and Sponsorship Team forms a key part of the Business Development and Marketing Team, which comprises more than 40 business development and marketing professionals based across the southern part of the UK.
Accountabilities
- Responsible for the planning, implementation, management and measurement of events and sponsorships across the firm.
- Events & Sponsorships – designing, managing and implementing the event and sponsorship schedule and event resource across all offices. Working with stakeholders to identify and plan activity in line with BD & Marketing strategy.
- Measurement – managing, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness and ROI of events and sponsorships in particular through post-activity reports to team leaders and quarterly reports to the management board.
- Budget – managing, implementing and reconciling expenditure in relation to events and promotional materials to ensure these are in line with pre-agreed budgets.
- People – effective management of the events team in relation to workload, personal development, quality and outputs.
- Data – leading the Events Team in the ongoing capture, cleansing, maintenance and enhancement of data for clients, targets and intermediaries on our CRM system, Intapp, and in accordance with GDPR requirements
- Brand implementation – working closely with the Brand Team to implement brand assets ensuring they are fit for purpose, attractive to key target audiences and represent Birketts as a high quality law firm with national and international expertise.
The candidate
We are seeking a candidate who has preferably worked within the professional services industry having run multiple events using multiple platforms. The successful candidate will have proven project management and leadership skills as well as the ability to manage a budget effectively.
- Solid proof reading and copywriting skills are essential.
- The candidate will demonstrate an extremely high level of attention to detail and organisational skills, and be flexible and adaptable around working hours.
- Experience of running online events, including webinars, is essential.
- The candidate will be able to work calmly under pressure and to deliver to strict deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as creative flair should come naturally.
