Overview

In this role you will provide expert planning and environmental legal guidance to high-net-worth clients within a Top 50 UK firm. You will work with a respected Planning and Environmental team, supporting strategic client relationships and firm growth. Leadership opportunities exist to mentor junior lawyers and contribute to business development. The role combines technical expertise with client-facing impact in a high-profile practice area.

Pay / Benefits

  • 25 or 30 days holiday (FTE) plus Bank Holidays

Responsibilities

  • Meet client needs with high professionalism and efficiency
  • Grow and maintain client relationships and contribute to firm strategy
  • Participate in networking, conferences, and business development activities
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior lawyers (for Legal Director level)
  • Support cross-team work including due diligence and environmental advisory as required

Key requirements

  • Experience in Planning, Environmental and Compulsory Purchase law at regional, national, or City firms
  • Strong relationship-building and credibility with clients
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce high-standard documentation
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, time recording software, case management, Outlook and digital dictation
  • Mentoring ability at more senior levels (for Legal Director)
