Purpose of Job
To work as part of a team assisting in providing an efficient and accurate accounts and credit control service to the firm.
Accountabilities
- Use debtors reporting to effectively manage and chase aged debt.
- Monitor and update Collections module with case information.
- Send monthly credit control statements to clients.
- Send reminder letters to clients.
- Assist Credit Control Manager to provide regular progress reports to Financial Controller and Finance Director.
- Successfully resolve queries from fee earners, secretaries, client financial administrators and clients regarding bills raised.
- Work with Debt Recovery Team to help escalate cases that require further debt management.
- Work effectively with accounts team to allocate payments.
- Process credit card payments from clients.
- Ensure that own knowledge and skills are kept up-to-date and request training where necessary.
Qualifications/Experience
- A-level or equivalent, including maths at Grade A-C.
- Proven experience of working in an Accounts department.
Skills
- Strong IT skills, including Word and Excel.
- Good organisation and administrative skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritise.
