Are you an administrator with excellent IT and organisational skills, who is eager to learn, develop new skills and provide a crucial part in maintaining our Student visa sponsor licence? Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a Student Immigration Compliance & Advice Officer this Summer 2026.
Responsibilities
- Support the activities of the International Student Administration team (ISA).
- Responsible for a number of administrative activities related to maintaining the university's Student Visa sponsor licence.
- Complete ongoing international student support tasks, including providing basic immigration advice.
- Support colleagues across the university with information on areas related to international students.
- Maintain close working relationships with many teams across the university, including academic departments, Finance, External Relations and Registry Services.
- Daily contact with international applicants and students by email and by phone.
- Process Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and undertake routine compliance checks, including cross-checking data, running reports and updating internal records.
- Manage high volumes of work and multiple priorities.
- Work independently and take responsibility for managing your area of work.
- Proactive approach to problem solving and a particular interest in all areas of international education.
Salary and Benefits
- £31,234 rising to £34,827 per annum.
- Grade 4 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated London Weighting Allowance.
- A competitive salary and pension scheme.

Contract Details
