We have an excellent opportunity for demonstrators to support the qualitative teaching on the MSc Psychology conversion course programme.

You will assist in the delivery of teaching qualitative methods to Birkbeck Psychological Science students, under academic supervision, to facilitate the successful completion of their studies. You will be required to provide guidance to students undertaking practical qualitative methods training, assist in the supervision of group projects, and mark their ensuing assignments (marking will be paid separately). You should engage in the scholarship necessary to ensure good practice in teaching and to apply appropriate levels of knowledge in the subject areas to be taught.

We are currently looking for Demonstrators to support the following module:

Research Skills in Psychology (level 7; Fridays 6-9pm), from 15th January 2027 to 19th March 2027 (excluding Friday 19th February 2027 due to reading week and final week of module (Tuesday 23rd March 2027)

Most individuals undertaking these roles will be employed as part of their general academic development to obtain practical teaching experience and will be undertaking this work independently but in parallel with postgraduate studies.
