Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a motivated and skilled operations assistant to join the Student Success team within the Education and Student Experience Directorate. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about equal access to higher education and the power of education to drive social mobility.
As Student Success Operations Assistant, you will work at the centre of the team’s programme delivery, supporting colleagues who lead on our core work strands: Student Transition and Success, Student Engagement, University of Sanctuary, and Student Success Research and Evaluation. This role would suit someone who thrives in delivering exceptional support to colleagues, working across a varied portfolio of programmes. The Operations Assistant role is responsive and multi-faceted and will provide the right candidate with core experience in the fields of widening access and student success.

Salary and benefits: Actual £15,617 rising to £17,414 per year FTE, (pro-rated £31,234 rising to £34,827 per year FTE). Grade 4 on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated London Weighting Allowance. A competitive salary and pension scheme, 31 days paid leave, flexible working arrangements, generous benefits in the HE sector, and being located in the heart of Bloomsbury, Euston, London.
Contract: Permanent contract, part-time, ( hours a week), Monday to Friday - working day to be agreed around 9-5pm with a flexible and hybrid working pattern. The role requires occasional evening and weekend work, for time off in lieu. Please submit an application form for consideration.
